Hospitals can be daunting places for kids, especially for those who spend long periods of time there. Known as ‘white coat syndrome’, the interaction with doctors combined with clinical surroundings can increase anxiety and stress levels, hindering recovery. But the charity Gamers Outreach & Xbox redefined the hospital experience for them with a new gaming kart innovation, which as well as providing some light relief, helped speed up the recovery process.
